Snowy morning finch

This tiny goldfinch is perched on a snowy live oak. We awoke to a blanket of snow across the area this morning. The birds were busy eating seeds offered and I watched some take bites of the snow from the leaves.

Snow, but no stick

It snowed all afternoon yesterday, going sideways most of the time but not sticking due to the warmer and wet ground. This is a shot from the last snow that did stick.
